The War and Treaty Comes to Canada

American duo The War and Treaty recently announced their Lover's Game Tour which will cross North America in 2023 including two Canadian dates. This "Love Train" will hit Vancouver on April 1 at the Biltmore Cabaret, and Toronto on April 26 at the Drake Underground.

The Lover's Game Tour is the namesake of their UMG/Mercury Nashville single debut which was released this past September. A recent press release describes the single as "The soul-soaked track co-written by the pair with Dave Cobb is presented as a playful rock-n-roller full of starry-eyed flirtation as the couple compare romantic battle scars and decide they still believe in the cause. Serving as the title track for their forthcoming album produced by Cobb, “Lover’s Game” embraces that genre-less vocal dynamism the duo has long employed while showcasing love’s ability to rejuvenate".

Founded in 2014 by the husband-and-wife duo Michael Trotter Jr. and Tanya Trotter, The War And Treaty have emerged as one of the most electrifying new acts in American music. With a lionhearted sonic blend – both roaring with passion and tender to the touch – the showcase “pure love that shatters and defies every musical category,” (Music Row). Earning respect, they’ve gone on to appear as top-flight collaborators, and have been recognized by the Country Music Hall of Fame, the Grand Ole Opry and the Americana Music Association as “2022 Duo/Group of the Year.”
