SiriusXM Canada, in partnership with the Canadian Country Music Association, today announced the eight semi-finalists competing for the title of Canada's next big country music star in the third annual Top of the Country competition.

The 2020 Top of the Country Semi-Finalists are:
Don Amero  from Winnipeg, Manitoba
Raquel Cole  from Vernon, British Columbia
Carolina East from South River, Newfoundland and Labrador
Nate Hall from Toronto, Ontario
Kalsey Kulyk from Hudson Bay, Saskatchewan
Brittany Kennell from Beaconsfield, Quebec
Tyler Joe Miller from Surrey, British Columbia
Kelly Prescott from Almonte, Ontario

These Canadian country musicians will be moving forward in the competition for a chance to win $25,000, a SOCAN songwriting trip, and more.

The 2019 Top of the Country winner was Matt Lang from Maniwaki, Quebec.

Top of the Country will be formatted differently this year and will extend across two years due to COVID-19. The semi-finalists will be featured during Country Music Week 2020, a virtual experience happening later this fall. Then, later in 2021, three finalists will be chosen from a nationwide public vote and a winner will be crowned at Country Music Week 2021.
