Just For Laughs Unveils 2020 Lineup

This morning Just For Laughs Festival unveiled the first round of performers for their 2020 Festival, which will take place online for the first time in the Festival’s history. 

Taking place October 9 and 10, 2020, the first round of JFL performers will include DeAnne Smith, Canada’s Drag Race, New Faces: Creators, Amber Ruffin, Trixie Mattel, Jo Koy, Kenya Barris, Tituss Burgess, Sarah Cooper, Nicole Byer, Hannah Gadsby, Jenny Hagel, Andy Kindler, Tooning Out the News , and Variety’s 10 Comics to Watch 2020 (Jenny Yang, Brent Terhune, Megan Stalter, Dewayne Perkins, Janelle James, Caleb Hearon, Ziwe Fumudoh, Franqi French, Chad Goes Deep, and Sarah Cooper) and more.

Audiences will be able to watch the 2020 Festival for free online at hahaha.com/en/2020festival.

It is disappointing to see so few Canadians in this first announcement, although you can tell that diversity and gender parity were at top of mind. Details about the individual shows are still unclear - we are dying to know what the involvement of Canada’s Drag Race could look like - but JFL promises more announcements are to come very soon.
